Covenant House Michigan Artists Take Powerful Exhibition to ArtPrize Competition

Covenant House Michigan homeless youth/artists transformed pairs of sneakers into a colorful representation of their journey

Each young person who walks through our doors brings a unique story with them. For our youth, opportunities to explore and express those stories are a crucial step in the process of healing. Covenant House Michigan's recent entry to the Grand Rapids ArtPrize competition exemplifies both the diverse experiences of our youth and the power of art in overcoming adversity.

Some focused on their goals, some reflected on the past, and others honored those who helped them along the way. By inviting the viewer to take a step into their world, the artists offer a moving perspective on youth homelessness and what it takes to overcome it. Read more from Covenant House Michigan
