Face-to-Face Fundraising 

You can easily identify our fundraisers. Each canvasser will have a city permit (where required) and a badge identifying them as a Covenant House approved canvasser.

Canvassing Active Markets: 

Youth homelessness is a national crisis. Every year, more than 4.2 million young people experience a period of homelessness across the United States alone. Covenant House is the largest provider of shelter and supportive services to youth facing homelessness in the Americas. 

In addition to our direct services, Covenant House advocates with local and national leaders and international agencies to address the root causes of youth homelessness and expand our prevention and aftercare work, so that, ultimately, no young person will ever have to be without a home and supportive adults to guide them on their journey to independent adulthood. 

We use highly respected partners with proven ability to represent the Covenant House mission well, interact with the public in a positive manner, and provide results for Covenant House that meet our financial needs. 

We only work with partners who are: 

• Committed to ethical fundraising practices 
• Members in good standing with the Professional Face to Face Fundraising Association 
• Dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of privacy compliance 
• Compliant with all local and federal regulation including being insured and bonded 

Yes! Our face-to-face fundraising partners accept donations on the spot through tablets. This is a convenient and secure mobile giving method that helps us receive your urgently needed contribution quickly. 

These tablets accept both credit card and bank donations and help reduce administrative costs; our representatives never accept cash. 

Fundraisers can be identified by their bright yellow t-shirts with the Covenant House logo. If you meet one of our representatives, please feel free to say hello and inquire about our mission. 

For both your safety and the safety of our fundraisers, our canvassers do not accept cash gifts. 

We invest in the Face-to-Face program to recruit long-term ongoing supporters. While we value all those that support the Covenant House mission, we ask our Face-to-Face partners to focus their canvassers' time on that work - and encourage donors that are interested in giving a single gift to do so via our website.

Covenant House International receives donations and sends money to our local sites on an ongoing basis, so that we can keep our doors open 24/7 and our services for youth are uninterrupted. 

All contributions to Covenant House are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You will receive a receipt for your donation for the full amount of your contribution upon receipt of payment.
